Project Managers

The Project Manager has full responsibility for labor, subcontractors, materials, project profits, schedule and quality. Analyze estimates, contracts, and plans to project job profitability. MUST HAVE LANDSCAPE /HORTICULTURE and CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE
•   Plan flow, material needs, and progression of projects.
•   Set up projects in the field with subcontractors and The Laurel Group (TLG) crews.
•   Supervise the installation of projects to ensure quality and profitability of the work done.
•   Establish communication with the client. Give client the pertinent information and maintain communication with client throughout project.
•   Meet with salesman. Discuss access, special client requests, timelines, utilities and all pertinent information for the project. Maintain communication with salesman throughout the project. Meet with salesman on the project site as necessary.
•   Go to site to determine special needs, construction requirements, detect potential problems and grasp the conditions of the site.
•   Verify dimensions, measurements and elevations for accuracy.
•   Develop a written profit plan from contract and estimate sheet provided in the "yard folder". Profit plan must prove project will be built profitably. The profit plan must be completed prior to starting project. The profit plan must be sent to Project Manager's supervisor prior to starting project.
•   Call for utility mark-out.
•   Contact client prior to starting project with start date
•   Track job costs to maintain profit margin.
•   File plans, contracts, estimates, folders etc. in the proper locations.
•   Translate blueprints and contracts in order to layout and execute all phases of construction and plant installation of the project.
•   Utilize a working knowledge of grading, drainage, soils, plants, masonry, carpentry, fencing, electric, lighting, gas, oil, irrigation, pools, tree work, barbecues and basic plumbing.
•   Bid all subcontracted portions of the project.
•   Establish elevations and construct a grade stick.
•   Identify locations of all utilities and underground structures and communicate this with all crews and subcontractors.
•   Develop site access and parking. Protect all existing trees from construction and vehicles.
•   Protect the residence existing structures (driveways, terraces, plants, lawn etc.) from damage.
•   Protect residence and prevent damage from water runoff during all phases of the project.
•   Contact and schedule subcontractors according to project schedule.
•   Schedule inspections at the appropriate times according to town and village codes.
•   TLG crew daily work sheet to be filled out 48 hrs prior to working at project.
•   Track your gross production by the quarter and will be reviewed with your supervisor quarterly.
