All Weather Courts

Gold Coast Tennis has been building, resurfacing, and maintaining all weather tennis courts on Long Island for over 30 years. All weather (or “hard”) courts typically consist of an asphalt or concrete base which is patched, sealed and colored with an acrylic court surfacing system. All weather courts are very popular among our customers for a variety of reasons. The most compelling advantage of an all weather tennis court is that it requires little or no maintenance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. All weather courts will only require periodic color and crack repair and our team will inspect the court annually during our open and close services. This makes all weather courts very compelling for private homeowners, apartments/condominiums, schools and municipalities. All weather court owners can also customize the color and speed of the court to suit their individual preferences. Many private homeowners and facilities utilize their all weather courts for other activities, including basketball, pickleball, and volley ball.

Advantages of asphalt courts include:
  • Less expensive
  • Readily available
  • Year-round playability
  • Familiar surface for players
  • Low maintenance

In addition to asphalt all weather courts, Gold Coast provides design, installation and maintenance on post-tensioned courts. Post-tensioned slabs are extremely durable and long-lasting (50+ years), resist cracking, heaving & settling, and provide superior planarity in the finished surface resulting in less puddling and waviness.

Advantages of the post-tension slab:
  • Longer life expectancy
  • Resists cracking & heaving
  • Superior planarity
  • Better drainage
  • Extremely durable
  • Lower maintenance costs
